About me
Calvin Carpenter is a PGA Class A golf professional with over 10 years of experience coaching full time. He is a member of the Team Callaway Elite and Callaway Certified Master Fitter. He grew up in Wisconsin where he fell in love with the game of golf at a young age. He played competitively as a junior golfer and became a State Champion in high school. He also played competitively in college and graduated from University of Wisconsin Stout with his degree in Golf Enterprise Management. He then moved to Sacramento to begin his career in the golf industry. He started coaching and club fitting full time at Haggin Oaks where he became a PGA Class A member and learned to become the golf professional he is today before moving to Orange County in 2022.
Calvin’s coaching philosophy is to build solid fundamentals through proper body movement and a strong mental approach. He believes the golf swing starts from the ground up with a solid foundation: grip, stance, and posture. He believes in teaching his players to tap into their natural athletic abilities to create a repeatable consistent golf swing. His goal is to not just teach the golf swing but teach the player how to play the game of golf through proper mental approach. He takes pride in transforming his students not only into golfers, but into players who love the game as much as him.
